FOLK MUSIC CONCERT SERIES
Prallsville Mill in Stockton, New Jersey
Two Great Shows will come to the Prallsville Mill in November. The Mill is a wonderful place to become a fan of musicians you may never have heard of before. Performers particularly love appearing in this beautiful historic building and quickly captivate both old friends and new listeners. This series of folk music concerts at the Prallsville Mill has been produced since 1985 by Music You Can’t Hear On The Radio as a benefit for the non-profit Delaware River Mill Society which works to restore, maintain and make publicly available the Prallsville Mill.
REILLY & MALONEY - Saturday November 7, 2009 at 8 pm. Ginny Reilly and David Maloney are a beloved duo who performed together for 18 years, then broke up for a decade or so, and are now once again making beautiful music together. This will be their first concert in two years outside their Seattle/Northern California base. The two fine singers with magnificent harmonies choose great, mostly little-known songs by others and write some fine ones themselves. Somehow, the Prallsville Mill has become their favorite east coast spot and their concerts here are always magical. One of the joys of seeing Reilly & Maloney at the Mill is being part of the mix of fans who have driven 6 or 8 hours for the show and others who are enjoying them for the first time.

HOWARD FISHMAN & HIS BAND - Saturday November 14, 2009 at 8 pm. Like many great performers, the music of Howard Fishman & His Band is difficult to categorize. The Washington Post wrote: "The Howard Fishman Quartet may sound like the name of a jazz group, but jazz isn't really a word that comes close to describing the varied influences of the band. New Orleans funk, classical music and pop all appear in a scintillating mix." There is also some folk, Bob Dylan, and Johnny Cash and great original songs. Howard Fishman's bands always include great musicians who look like they are having one of those evenings that makes the ordeals of being a professional musician worthwhile.
